Since I was born I started to live with my grandparents who's name are Manuel Novelo and Remigia Novelo(+). For 16 years we all had the home everyone would like which was filled with love, harmony and happiness until my beloved grandmother passed away. Currently I am still living with my grandfather who I consider my father. I always considered my grandparents as both my parents even though they aren't my biological ones. As they say your parents are the one who grow you and show you love and not the ones who made you.Hence, I always got treated as one of their daughters and in my eyes they were my parents.
I have 3 siblings from my biological mother. There names are Julissa Garcia, Shantel Garcia and Doris Garcia. I do not live with them but family is family and the love is obviously there.
We practice and follow these traditions from my great great grandparents since it was passed on from generation to generation. Some traditions that we practice like on a Sunday we would go to church in the morning then after we would have breakfast together. Then we have a talk and its like our day because we go visit other family members too. And Sunday's are the best since we spend more time and we are bonding. For Christmas our traditions as a family are to make gingerbread houses, candy trains, or ornaments and that's the best part then after would be the opening of gifts. Also would be to have the children write letters to Santa and place them in their stockings. Write letters in reply from Santa commending each child for his or her good behavior that year. Our new years eve traditions are that we would have a dinner together and we would bond and wait until 12 o'clock gives. After, all of the family members would have a glass of wine and have 12 grapes fruit on another and for every grape would be a wish or something we would want.
